- Interact and recognize others and not just promote
Gartner predictions for 2010 – digital marketing (also from Marketing Profs):
- By the end of 2011 more than 90% of Fortune 1000 marketing campaigns will include online marketing, up from 50% in 2009. This will result in 10-20% savings in marketing communications.
Measuring social media (from Marketing Sherpa):
- Visitors and sources of traffic
- Network size – followers, fans, members
- Quantity of commentary about your brand or product
- Sentiment or quality of commentary
- Search engine ranking
- Leads generated
